DocStory Whitelist

Unauthorized Processes, Blocked in Advance

When an unauthorized process tries to access protected data, DocStory blocks it before anything happens. Trust is decided by digital signature, file hash, the trust list and an AI score.

How the AI decides
  • Unauthorized processes
  • Known malware
  • New and variant malware
  • Ransomware
  • Adware/spyware

Protected file list
defined by the administrator

Unauthorized processes, known malware, new and variant malware, ransomware and adware/spyware are blocked in advance by the DocStory whitelist. Only whitelisted processes (such as EXCEL.EXE, WORD.EXE, HWP.EXE, MSPAINT.EXE, POWERPOINT.EXE and MSSQL.EXE) can access the protected files defined by the administrator.
How is DocStory different from other products?

DocStory is a whitelist-based solution. It blocks unauthorized processes that are not on the whitelist from accessing data before anything happens, so it stops not only ransomware but any malicious action, including data leakage, deletion, tampering and forgery.

Are users alerted when ransomware or malware is blocked?

Yes. Users and administrators are notified immediately with a pop-up.

Can it run on a closed (air-gapped) network?

Yes. As a whitelist-based solution, it needs no signature updates and therefore no connection to external servers. It is optimized for closed networks and runs on internet-connected networks as well.
